Pessoalmente, achei que foi muito "fácil" para nós enfrentar o furacão apenas olhando pela janela do quarto... Um sentimento de culpa mas ao mesmo tempo de gratidão era sentido por vários de nós... Não podíamos deitar a cabeça sossegadamente no travesseiro e pensar em todos os que estavam do lado de fora. Sem dúvida foi uma noite de intercessão aqui na casa e em várias partes do mundo. Deus seja Louvado!
Apesar da passagem do Furacão Isaac, a casa em que estamos não sofreu nenhum dano. Umas poucas bananeiras do terreno foram derrubadas e não houve alagamento na rua. Percebemos algumas árvores derrubadas na região em torno da casa apesar dos ventos muito fortes e chuva intensa. Agora a chuva já se transformou em uma garoa e o Furacão deixou uma brisa leve e refrescante.
A clínica onde estávamos trabalhando teve duas tendas derrubadas e alguns homens grupo saíram para ver os estragos e ajudar no que fosse preciso. Ao retornarem louvamos ao Senhor juntos: A região quase não foi afetada e umas poucas lonas foram derrubadas.
O Orfanato Novo Horizonte (administrado pela Mamassita) também foi visitado pela equipe hoje de manhã, surpreendentemente nem as lonas que cobrem a cozinha foram arrancadas pelo vento!
A Previsão Metereológica havia informado que o Furacão que atingiria o Haiti seria de categoria 3, o site a rede TV Euronews informou que na região do Haiti foi de categoria 1! Informações oficiais relatam que não houve nenhuma morte. Não temos dúvida de que o Senhor pôs a sua mão!

August 25th – After the storm, comes calm
Personally, I thought it was very "easy" for us to face the hurricane just looking through the bedroom window... A feeling of guilt but at the same time gratitude was felt by many of us ... We couldn´t lay down our heads in the pillow and think about all those people who were outside. No doubt it was a night of intercession here at home and around the world. Praise the Lord!
Despite the passage of Hurricane Isaac, the house that we are doesn´t suffered any damage. A few banana trees felt and the streets were not flooded. We noticed some trees felt in the region around our house, despite the strong winds and heavy rain. The rain has now turned into a drizzle and the Hurricane left a light and refreshing breeze.
In the clinic that we were working two tents felt and some men left the group to see the damage and help in whatever they could. On their return we praised the Lord together:
The region was hardly affected and a few tarps were torn down.
The Orphanage Novo Horizonte (administered by Mamassita) was also visited by the team this morning: surprisingly neither the tarps covering the kitchen were uprooted by the wind!
The Meteorological Prediction had reported that the Hurricane that hit Haiti would be Category 3. On the site of the Euronews TV network reported that it was category 1!
Information officers report that there was no death. We have no doubt that the Lord put his hand!
